Anthony joined the US Army in 2004.  March 2007, while deployed in Iraq, his Stryker was hit with an I.E.D causing him to lose his leg below the knee.

His introduction to wheelchair basketball came 7 years later in an unusual way.  Anthony was watching TV when a Guinness commercial cam on showing a group of men playing wheelchair basketball. He thought it looked like a cool thing to try so he did some research and eventually began playing with the University of Southern Mississippi.

Since then, Anthony has played competitively for a several teams across the country.
